Alexander & Stacey
Alexander & Stacey picked Gunners Barracks for their June wedding. Gunners Barracks was the perfect location for the intimate celebration they wanted to share with family and friends.
Alex and I were like two peas in a pod in primary school. He was my first best friend. We had so many experiences growing up and some of my oldest memories are of us at school, birthdays, holidays and sleep overs. After a change in schools and life before the internet, we lost touch during primary school. A number of years back we reconnected after many years of distance. We had both now grown up and found our respective careers. Luckily for both of us we had also found the loves of our lives. I was absolutely delighted when Alex & Stacey asked me to photograph their wedding day.
To me it felt like a big family reunion. I was able to reconnect with his parents and his siblings (whom I had not seen for over 20 years). Alex’s little sisters were all grown up and we all chatted as if time had not passed at all. I felt like I was just one of the guests and revelling in the celebration. A perk of being the photographer means I also have one of the best views of the entire wedding day. Here is the wedding day as it unfolded.
