Anna & Michael – St Peters Backyard Wedding
A wedding, at it’s best, is supposed to be a representation of who you are, your family & friends. But, what if it becomes something that isn’t you? There really seems to be so much pressure from so many different avenues these days on couples getting married, it’s really easy to get caught up with it all. And when I first met Michael & Anna, they had an idea of what they wanted for their backyard wedding, but were worried that it might end up becoming something that’s not representative of them.
Halfway through the process of organising everything they decided what actually was them wasn’t what they’d organised; they scrapped their original plans and decided to get married in their own backyard in their little house in St Peters.
These photos are a representation of who Michael & Anna really are, which is two people with an incredible story, a gorgeous daughter, loving family, and friends who flew from all over Australia and the world to attend their wedding day. The joy and intimacy of having their nearest and dearest not only strengthened the way their celebration unfolded, but also really is what a wedding should be, a celebration that suits who you and your family are.
A special mention has to go out to all the helping hands that made this wedding happen. All of those little details, the flowers, the girls doing their own makeup and the fabulous setup in the backyard made it truly awesome.
