Ash & Tara – Centennial Park Wedding

I have had the pleasure of knowing both Ash and Tara since high school. We were all in the same year at Leichhardt High here in Sydney. I got to see their friendship blossom into a relationship. Now over 10 years later them get married in front of all of their friends and family . It is special to see the love story start from the very beginning. I am very thankful that I had the chance to capture their story and document it in my own way. It is such a wonderful thing to be able to give to great friends.

The day was very laid back, with a strong focus on enjoying as much time as they could with their guests. Ash got ready at his parents house in Stanmore where he grew up, whilst Tara got ready in town with her bridesmaids and parents. The ceremony was sweet, with groomsman and friend Milo playing the guitar for the ceremony. It was a little (ok very) emotion, in the best kind of way. Some drinks flowed after the ceremony and we scooted around Centennial Park for photos before heading to Erskineville. I really wanted to capture some photos in the streets around erko as the sun started to set. The reception was cocktail style, with a sprinkling of speeches and a live set from a band full of mates.

Wedding in Centennial Park

Ash & Tara picked the She Oak Grove for their wedding ceremony in Centennial Park. We then photographed around the park before heading to the Rose of Australia Hotel in Erskineville for their wedding reception.
