Adams Peak Country Estate Weddings

Hunter Valley weddings are always spectacular events! Adams Peak is a very special venue on the outskirts of Broke. It is a gorgeous old property with amazing views of the valley, the nearby wineries and Broken Back mountain range. Right from the minute you turn onto Adams Peak Road you know this place feels special. There are multiple options onsite for your wedding ceremony and wedding reception. Main features include The Barn, The Hay Shed, The Lawn, The Hill and The Secret Tree (with each being the perfect spot for a wedding celebration).

The rest of the grounds are very picturesque, with a number of great photo locations in the paddocks, by the dam or under the secret tree. I also know of a gorgeous location a short drive away which makes the most of the vast and beautiful landscape of Broke.

There are also some delightful highland coos (cows) which may take part in your photos (if you are so inclined). They are a beautiful addition to the property that has taken place in recent years.

This is the perfect location for a destination wedding and one big party with your family and friends. The venue is easy to access, has onsite accommodation, lots of accommodation near by, lots of charm and each aspect of Adams Peak is open and inviting for both yourselves and your wedding guests. The venue is constantly evolving with amazing improvements and additions. Karyn and her team go above and beyond to make the venue everything it can be.

I instantly fell in love with Adams Peak and it has to be one of my favourite wedding venues in all of the Hunter Valley.

Why I Recommend Adams Peak Weddings

A gorgeous property in a beautiful part of the world. It’s so easy to see why this is such a sought after wedding venue. The design of the property and the way they deliver weddings has been extremely well thought out by the wonderful owner Karyn. She is marvellous at running Adams Peak and is a delight to work with. She oversees everything and makes sure everything is just perfect for your big day.

My favourite space on the property is the rustic barn. It is cosy and intimate and perfect for a beautiful rustic reception. As the night wears on and the party kicks off the space transforms as the dance floor kicks off outside on the covered veranda.

You can never get tired of the views at Adams Peak either, especially as the afternoon light hits the valley and the mountain range. The bridal photo locations onsite are beautiful, as are some other locations which are easy to access nearby (such as a vineyard and an olive grove).

Adams Peak Wedding Tips

  • Every season is beautiful in the Hunter Valley. I love autumn through the most where you have the warm days and the cool nights, especially great weather for a wedding day!
  • If you would like to get married in a church, there are limited options in the Broke area. So make sure you check them out and book them early so you don’t have to travel too far for the wedding ceremony.
  • The best time of the day for wedding photography is as the sun starts to set. Therefore, it’s always best to build sunset photos into the timeline when doing your wedding planning.
  • Whilst there are lots of accommodation options in the area, things book out fast. Make sure you give yourself and your guests enough time to get accommodation organised when you are considering your wedding date.
  • There are lots of bus services in the area that can pickup/drop off your guests. This is a great way to make sure everyone enjoys the party and takes away all the stress of transport.
  • There are some amazing wedding vendors (such as florists, caterers and wedding celebrants) that service the area. You can check out my Newcastle & Hunter Valley wedding vendor page here –

BONUS PHOTO, A TRAIN AT ADAMS PEAK

In 2024 there was a new addition to Adams Peak in the form of a very cool vintage train carriage! They have big plans for it, and here is a photo from a wedding in July 2024 where I was able to capture some of the first photos with it.
